Your scanners show alerts. We show the attack path.

01Your tools, or ours, find

Scanners and attack-surface discovery run continuously across code, cloud and the internet-facing estate.

02Our testers prove the path

Exposures are chained by hand into the routes an attacker could actually take to your critical data.

03Your team fixes the right thing

One fix can close a whole path. We retest it, then the cycle starts again with the next release.

How CTEM works

One loop, five stages, run continuously

CTEM repeats the same five stages every cycle. Tools handle most of discovery. Our testers own validation, proving which exposures an attacker could actually chain together.

  1. ScopingAgree what matters most: the data, systems and revenue an attacker would target.
  2. DiscoveryMap every asset in scope, including the forgotten ones.
  3. PrioritizationRank exposures by reachability and business impact, not severity score alone.
  4. ValidationTesters prove which exposures are exploitable and how they chain.
  5. MobilizationRoute fixes to owners, then retest to confirm they hold.
The short answer

What is continuous threat exposure management (CTEM)?

Continuous threat exposure management (CTEM) is a program model introduced by Gartner for finding and reducing the exposures an attacker could use, in repeated cycles rather than one-off tests. It runs in five stages: scoping, discovery, prioritization, validation and mobilization, so teams fix what is reachable and exploitable first.

Many CTEM platforms stop at discovery and scoring. ioSENTRIX adds the stage tools struggle with: human testers validate which issues are actually exploitable and chain them across your code, cloud and external surface. You get one subscription covering application security, penetration testing and attack-surface review, tied to your release cycle.

You need a CTEM program if

  • Your scanners produce more findings than your team can fix
  • You ship major releases faster than an annual pentest can keep up with
  • Exposures span code, cloud and internet-facing assets owned by different teams
  • Your board or customers want evidence that risk is going down, not just a report

Methodology

How we test: example test cases

A sample of the work in each CTEM stage. Your scope decides the full list.

SCOPE-01

Crown-jewel mapping

We agree which applications, data and business processes matter most, so testing effort follows business impact.

DISC-01

Forgotten internet-facing assets

We enumerate domains, subdomains and exposed services, then compare them with what your team believes is live.

PRIO-01

Scanner noise triage

We take findings from your SAST, DAST, SCA and cloud tools and rank them by reachability and business impact, not severity score alone.

VAL-01

Exploit chaining across layers

We test whether a low-severity cloud misconfiguration and an application flaw combine into a path to sensitive data.

VAL-02

Business logic abuse

Testers try authorization bypasses, workflow abuse and tenant crossover that scanners cannot reason about.

MOB-01

Fix verification

Once a fix ships, we rerun the original proof of concept and close the item only when it no longer works.

Sample finding

What a finding looks like in our report

An illustrative example in our report format. Not client data.

Finding 01 · IllustrativeCritical

Public staging bucket and a leaked API key give read access to production customer data

OWASP A02:2025 Security Misconfiguration · A01:2025 Broken Access Control · MITRE ATT&CK T1552 Unsecured Credentials

What we found

External discovery found a storage bucket left public on a forgotten staging subdomain. It held a build artifact with a hard-coded API key. The key was still valid in production and was not scoped, so it could list and read customer records through the public API. Separate tools had flagged each piece as medium; none connected them.

Impact

Anyone who found the subdomain could read production customer data without an account.

How to fix it

Remove public access to the bucket and rotate the key. Scope API keys per environment with least privilege, add secret scanning to the build pipeline, and bring the staging subdomain into the asset inventory.

What you get

What a Continuous Security subscription delivers

Not another alert feed. Validated exposures, fixes and proof that they worked.

1

One dashboard for every exposure

Findings from code, cloud, external surface and pentests in one place, with real-time updates and JIRA integration.

2

Proof, not scores

Every validated exposure has a reproducible proof of concept and remediation guidance, and the tester who found it walks your team through it.

3

Retests that close the loop

Fixes are retested against the original proof of concept, so you can show leadership and auditors what actually changed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is CTEM a tool or a program?

CTEM is a program, not a single product. Tools help with discovery and prioritization, but validation and mobilization need people: testers who prove exploitability and owners who ship fixes. Our subscription supplies the testing and the process around it.

How is CTEM different from vulnerability management?

Vulnerability management usually means scanning and patching by severity score. CTEM starts from business priorities, adds assets scanners miss, such as forgotten domains and cloud services, and tests whether issues can actually be exploited before asking teams to fix them.

What is the full-stack baseline assessment?

It is a one-time assessment across your applications, APIs, cloud and external attack surface, priced as a fixed quote. It gives you a validated starting point and a ranked fix list. Many teams then move to the Continuous Security subscription to keep that picture current.

Can you work with the scanners we already use?

Yes. We can take output from your existing SAST, DAST, SCA, cloud and attack-surface tools, or run our own. Either way, testers validate what is exploitable, so your team is not triaging raw scanner output.

How much does a CTEM program cost?

Continuous Security is one subscription, priced on the number of applications, your release pace, your attack surface and the services you need. The baseline assessment is a fixed quote based on effort. We reply in under an hour during US business hours; scope, timeline and price follow the scoping call.

How long does it take to get started?

We reply in under an hour during US business hours. The baseline assessment takes days to weeks, depending on scope, and the subscription then runs continuously, with testing tied to your releases.
