WHY ioSENTRIX

Why security teams choose ioSENTRIX for penetration testing

Business-logic testing by hand, a named engineer on every engagement, and findings you can act on — not a scanner dump.

  • Business-logic testing, done by handOSCP-certified engineers at a CREST-accredited firm go after authentication bypasses, privilege escalation and payment-flow abuse — the flaws scanners can't see. Manual testing finds roughly 20% more vulnerabilities than scanning alone.
  • A named engineer, not a ticket queueYou talk to the person testing your system. Findings arrive as they're confirmed, each with a working proof of concept and a code-level fix — not weeks later in a PDF.
  • Every target, one teamWeb, API, mobile, SaaS, cloud, network, thick-client and AI/LLM systems — tested by the same certified team, scoped to your architecture and threat model.

The AI question

An AI tool isn't a pentest — it's a faster scanner

The tool was never the hard part. Years ago the choice was the same: run Burp Suite yourself, or hire a firm that also runs Burp. The scanner didn't make the difference — the person driving it did. AI hasn't changed that. It's changed the speed.

AI is genuinely good at breadth — known vulnerabilities, routine coverage, pattern-matching at scale — so we run it on every engagement to go faster and wider. But the flaws that actually get companies breached are business-logic abuse, broken authorization, and weaknesses chained into real impact — the things an autonomous tool still can't reason about.

9%
of security leaders trust automation on its own in 2026 — down from 29% a year earlier
78%
have been hit by critical false negatives from fully automated scanning

— 2026 survey of 455 security leaders

So we use AI too — then our OSCP-certified engineers do what AI can't: understand your business, chain the findings, and prove what's actually exploitable. AI makes us faster. Skill is what makes it a pentest.

What is penetration testing?

A penetration test is a manual, authorized attack on your systems by a security engineer who exploits and chains vulnerabilities the way a real attacker would — finding business-logic flaws, broken authorization and privilege escalation that automated scanners miss. ioSENTRIX delivers every finding with a working proof of concept and a code-level fix.

How much does penetration testing cost with ioSENTRIX?

Engagements start at $6,400 — 40 credits at $160 each — covering a small web application and its API with a free retest. Larger scopes use more credits: you buy a pool and spend it across web, API, mobile, cloud and network assets, and unused credits roll over quarterly. Every quote is a fixed price in writing after a 15-minute scoping call.

What types of penetration testing does ioSENTRIX offer?

Web application and API, mobile (iOS and Android), SaaS, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), external and internal network, thick-client and desktop, embedded/IoT/ICS, and AI/ML and LLM systems. Each engagement is scoped to your architecture and threat model.

How long does a penetration test take?

A standard web application or API test takes 1–3 weeks including reporting; multi-application, network and cloud assessments take 4–6 weeks. Under continuous PTaaS, tests run alongside your release cycle.

What is the difference between a penetration test and a vulnerability scan?

A scanner matches your systems against a database of known issues and can't tell you whether anything is actually exploitable. In a penetration test an engineer exploits and chains weaknesses like an attacker would, including business-logic flaws no scanner detects — roughly 20% more vulnerabilities than scanning alone in our engagements.

Do your reports satisfy SOC 2, PCI DSS or HIPAA?

Yes. Reports are mapped to the relevant criteria — SOC 2 CC-series, PCI DSS v4.0.1 Requirement 11.4, HIPAA §164.308 — and every engagement includes an attestation letter that auditors and QSAs accept.

What do we need to provide to get started?

A short description of what you want tested (apps, APIs, IP ranges, cloud accounts), your budget if you have one, and any compliance deadline. For testing: test accounts, scope documentation and a technical contact.
