The AI question

An AI tool isn't a pentest — it's a faster scanner

The tool was never the hard part. Years ago the choice was the same: run Burp Suite yourself, or hire a firm that also runs Burp. The scanner didn't make the difference — the person driving it did. AI hasn't changed that. It's changed the speed.

AI is genuinely good at breadth — known vulnerabilities, routine coverage, pattern-matching at scale — so we run it on every engagement to go faster and wider. But the flaws that actually get companies breached are business-logic abuse, broken authorization, and weaknesses chained into real impact — the things an autonomous tool still can't reason about.

9%
of security leaders trust automation on its own in 2026 — down from 29% a year earlier
78%
have been hit by critical false negatives from fully automated scanning

— 2026 survey of 455 security leaders

So we use AI too — then our OSCP-certified engineers do what AI can't: understand your business, chain the findings, and prove what's actually exploitable. AI makes us faster. Skill is what makes it a pentest.

How it works

From first call to verified fix

A fixed process with dates you can plan around.

  1. Scoping call within 1 business dayA senior engineer reviews which frameworks you report against and books a 15-minute call: scope, systems, and timing.
  2. Fixed-price quoteScope, timeline and price in writing, mapped to every framework. Testing starts in 5–10 days.
  3. Testing, with findings in real timeManual testing of your in-scope systems. Critical findings are flagged the day they're confirmed, each with a proof of concept and a fix.
  4. Multi-framework report, free retest, attestationOne report mapped to every framework in 5 business days. Mark a finding fixed and we verify it at no charge, then issue an attestation letter.

Before you ask

Questions buyers ask before they book

Does ISO 27001 require penetration testing?

ISO/IEC 27001 doesn't name penetration testing explicitly, but Annex A technical controls (A.8 in the 2022 revision) require you to evidence that vulnerabilities are identified and managed — and auditors expect a penetration test as that evidence. ioSENTRIX maps findings to the Annex A controls your auditor samples.

How much does penetration testing cost with ioSENTRIX?

Engagements start at $6,400 — 40 credits at $160 each — covering a small in-scope environment with a free retest. Larger scopes use more credits, and unused credits roll over quarterly. Every quote is a fixed price in writing after a 15-minute scoping call.

Can one test cover ISO 27001, NIST and SOC 2?

Yes. We run a single assessment and map the findings to every framework you report against — ISO 27001 Annex A, NIST CSF/800-53, SOC 2 TSC and more — so you avoid duplicate testing and duplicate spend.

Do you map to NIST CSF and 800-53?

Yes. Findings are mapped to NIST CSF functions and, where relevant, 800-53 control families, alongside your other frameworks.

What evidence do we get?

A multi-framework report with an executive summary, technical findings and verified remediation evidence — ready for ISO auditors, SOC 2 examiners and internal risk teams.

How long does the assessment take?

A typical test takes 1–3 weeks including reporting; multi-system environments take 4–6 weeks. Free retesting confirms your fixes.
